The information provided on VTU Circle is for general informational, educational, and student convenience purposes only. While we make reasonable efforts to keep the platform useful, updated, and reliable, we make no guarantees regarding the completeness, accuracy, availability, reliability, or suitability of any content, feature, result, ranking, document, update, or information available through the platform.

Users should use VTU Circle as a helpful student-focused tool, not as a replacement for official academic records, official notices, official VTU portals, college communications, or authorized university sources.

2. No Official Affiliation

VTU Circle is an independent platform created for student convenience. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, approved by, or officially connected with Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), any college, government authority, official academic body, or examination authority.

Any reference to VTU, university-related terms, academic data, results, circulars, syllabus, timetable details, or other academic information is provided only for informational and student convenience purposes.

Users must always verify official information from VTU’s official website, official result portals, authorized university sources, college offices, or other official academic channels before making any academic, personal, professional, or administrative decision.

3. Results and Academic Information

VTU Circle may retrieve and display marks, subject details, semester information, and result status from VTU result pages. Based on result data saved in the platform, VTU Circle may calculate SGPA, CGPA, percentage, class rank, university rank, rank comparisons, and performance insights. These features are provided only for convenience, comparison, calculation assistance, and informational purposes.

Saved result information may be visible to other VTU Circle users through result views, ranking tables, and related academic features. Class rank and university rank are unofficial comparisons calculated only from result data currently saved in VTU Circle. They may not include every VTU student and must not be treated as official university rankings.

We do not guarantee that any result, SGPA, CGPA, percentage, rank, calculation, comparison, or academic insight displayed in VTU Circle is final, official, complete, accurate, current, uninterrupted, or error-free.

Academic data shown in VTU Circle may depend on available sources, user-provided details, server processing, database records, result availability, network status, or other technical and external factors.

Users must verify all academic information, official results, marks cards, transcripts, eligibility, academic records, and university-related decisions from official VTU portals or authorized sources before relying on them.

4. Notes, PDFs and Academic Content

Content such as notes, PDFs, syllabus files, question papers, circulars, timetable updates, academic documents, and student-related updates may be sourced from publicly available academic resources, official sources, educational references, user-requested links, or third-party sources.

While we attempt to keep content useful and updated, we do not guarantee that all notes, PDFs, circulars, syllabus files, question papers, timetable details, or updates are always current, complete, accurate, official, or suitable for every academic requirement.

Users should verify important academic documents, official circulars, exam information, syllabus details, timetable updates, and notices from VTU’s official website, college authorities, or authorized academic sources.

5. One-to-One Chat Disclaimer

VTU Circle provides one-to-one realtime text chat only between users who follow each other. Chat is not a public or group chat feature and is intended only for student communication within the app.

Users are fully responsible for the messages and content they send through chat. VTU Circle is not responsible for user-generated messages, personal opinions, inaccurate statements, abusive content, misleading information, or any decisions made based on chat communication between users.

Chat messages are temporary and are automatically deleted after 24 hours. VTU Circle does not provide permanent chat history or long-term chat-message storage. Users should not use chat to store or send important academic, personal, legal, financial, confidential, or sensitive information.

Users must not misuse chat for harassment, abuse, spam, impersonation, illegal activity, threats, misleading communication, or sharing unauthorized content. VTU Circle may restrict or suspend access if chat misuse is identified or if a user violates these Terms, harms other users, or engages in illegal, abusive, or unsafe activity.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, VTU Circle, its owners, developers, team members, and service providers shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or other damages arising from the use of, inability to use, or reliance on the platform, app, website, results, rankings, notes, PDFs, updates, chat, notifications, or any related service.

This includes, but is not limited to, errors in results, incorrect calculations, rank differences, delayed updates, missing information, wrong academic details, PDF access issues, notification delays, chat-related issues, technical failures, account issues, server downtime, or reliance on unofficial information.

Users understand that VTU Circle is provided on an “as-is” and “as-available” basis without warranties of any kind.

7. User Responsibility

Users are responsible for verifying the accuracy, completeness, and official status of any information before relying on it for academic, professional, personal, legal, or administrative decisions.

Users are also responsible for providing accurate account, profile, college, USN, branch, semester, result-related, and academic details when using VTU Circle features. Incorrect or outdated information may affect result display, rankings, calculations, notifications, or other app features.

Users must not misuse the platform, attempt unauthorized access, scrape data, reverse engineer services, abuse APIs, upload or submit harmful content, misuse chat, impersonate others, or perform any activity that may harm VTU Circle, other users, servers, third-party services, or platform security.

8. Third-Party Links and Services

VTU Circle may use, integrate, or link to third-party services such as Google Play Services, Firebase Authentication and Google Sign-In for Google account authentication, Firebase Cloud Messaging for push notifications, Hostinger SMTP for account-related emails, Cloudflare for CDN and security, Cloudflare R2 object storage and Google Drive for academic-document storage or delivery, Discord webhook integration for bug reports, realtime communication infrastructure, and external websites.

These third-party services may be used for authentication, push notifications, security, hosting, app delivery, realtime communication, support, debugging, bug reporting, or service operation.

We do not control and are not responsible for the content, availability, accuracy, privacy policies, terms, actions, outages, security practices, or data handling of third-party websites, platforms, tools, or services.

VTU Circle does not currently show third-party advertisements or use advertising SDKs such as Google AdMob. The VTU Circle Android app does not currently use third-party analytics or automatic crash-reporting SDKs such as Firebase Analytics, Firebase Crashlytics, or Sentry. Google Analytics is used only on VTU Circle’s app-related website to measure general website traffic and usage.

9. Technical Issues and Availability

We do not guarantee uninterrupted, secure, error-free, or always-available operation of the VTU Circle app, website, backend, database, chat system, notifications, downloads, result features, ranking features, or related services.

Temporary downtime, server issues, maintenance, app bugs, network problems, third-party outages, high traffic, database errors, notification delays, socket connection issues, or technical errors may occur.

VTU Circle is not responsible for any loss, inconvenience, delay, missed update, incomplete information, failed notification, interrupted access, or temporary service unavailability caused by technical issues or factors outside our reasonable control.

10. App Permissions

VTU Circle requires internet access to provide its online features and may request notification permission to deliver service-related and academic notifications.

VTU Circle allows users to open or download PDFs, notes, question papers, syllabus files, circulars, and other academic documents. Downloaded files are saved to the device’s public Downloads folder using Android’s system download functionality. VTU Circle does not request broad storage, media, photo, video, or all-files access and does not browse, scan, read, upload, or collect personal or unrelated files stored on the device.

Notification permission may be used to send result alerts, VTU circulars, timetable updates, document updates, chat notifications, and other academic announcements. We use Firebase Cloud Messaging to deliver push notifications.

Users can manage notification permission through their device settings at any time. Disabling notification permission will prevent VTU Circle from delivering push notifications but will not prevent users from accessing other app features.

11. Account and Data Deletion

If your use of VTU Circle includes account-based features, you may request deletion of your account and associated personal data by sending an email deletion request from your registered email address.

The VTU Circle app may show or open the account deletion information page from inside the app. This page explains the deletion process, but it does not provide an automatic deletion form. Actual account deletion requests must be submitted by email.

Please send the deletion request from your registered email address. We may request limited additional account information, such as your name or USN, only when reasonably required to verify account ownership and process the deletion request.

Account deletion requests may require verification to protect users from unauthorized deletion. After successful verification, our admin or support team will manually delete the requested account and its associated personal data.

The account and all associated personal data and copies, including data stored in active systems and backups, will be permanently deleted within 30 days after the verified deletion request is received.

Deleting the app from your device does not automatically delete your VTU Circle account or associated data.

12. Changes to This Disclaimer

We may update this Disclaimer from time to time based on changes in our services, app features, website, legal requirements, third-party services, platform updates, or operational practices.

When we update this Disclaimer, we will revise the “Last Updated” date on this page. Continued use of VTU Circle after updates means you accept the revised Disclaimer.
